Gratin di Pasta alla Moda Settantina
Preriscaldate il forno a 180°.
Fate cuocere 250 grammi di pasta corta (maccheroni, penne, etc. etc.) in abbondate acqua salata e scolateli al dente.
Nel frattempo che la pasta cuoce preparate la salsa di pomodoro: scaldate un paio di cucchiai di olio d'oliva in una padella e soffriggete una cipolla (tagliata finemente) e 3 spicchi d'aglio schiacciati, per un minuto. Unite 500 grammi di pelati, tagliati a pezzettoni, un cucchiaio di basilico e sale e pepe a vostro gradimento. Lasciate cuocere per una decina di minuti a fuoco lento continuando a mescolare.
Grattugiate del pane in modo da ottenere 5-6 cucchiai di grattato e mescolatelo con un tocco di basilico.
Unite in una ciotola 100 grammi di grana (Asiago o Parmigiano) e 200 di Groviera, entrambi grattugiati.
Prendete una pirofila capiente ed imburratela bene anche nei bordi e in ordine, uno sopra l'altro, mettete:
-1/3 della salsa di pomodoro
-1/3 di pasta
-1/3 dei formaggi grattugiati
-salate e pepate a piacere
Ripete l'operazione fino all'esaurimento degli ingredienti terminando con i formaggi e quindi cospargete con il pan grattato (se vi va mettete dei pezzettini di burro sparsi sul composto).
Mettete in forno per 20-25 minuti e/o fino a quando la superficie non sara' diventata dorata.
Servite subito insieme ad un buon boccale di Pils Tedesca, Ceca o Austriaca.
Esperienza da fare tra nostalgici dell' Hard-Rock anni '70 (le dosi son per 4) ascoltando "Whiskey in the Jar" dei Thin Lizzy.
Se non sapete nulla degli anni '70 ascoltate la stessa canzone ma proposta dai Metallica.

Meanwhile the pasta it's cooking you can prepare the tomato sauce: heat two spoons of olive in a pan and fry lighttly a well minced onion and 3 beaten garlic, for 1 minute. Put 18 ounces of diced peeled tomatoes, a spoon of basil and salt and pepper at your liking. Cook for 10 minutes on a low heat mixing continously.
Grate some bread til getting 5-6 spoons of grated and mix with a little basil (at your liking).
Put together in a bowl 3,5 ounces of parmesan (Asiago or Parmigiano) and 7 ounces of Gruyère, both grated.
Take a capacious oven-proof dish and butter with care also in the edges and in order, each one over the other put:
-1/3 of the Tomato Sauce
-1/3 of the Pasta
-1/3 of the Grated Cheese
-salt and pepper at your liking
Repeat til the ingredient will be run out, ending with the cheese, then sprinkle the grated bread (if you like you can put some a few butter bits spread on the preparation).
Put in the oven for 20-25 minutes or til the surface will be brown.
Serve immediately with a good mug of German, Austrian or Czech beer.

Su vari siti sta girando la notizia che i Maiden starebbero per aprire a Londra un Hotel riservato solo alle Rockstar, cosa strana visto che nel loro Sito non se ne faceva menzione, infatti oggi e' arrivata la smentita ufficiale del fondatore di questo esclusivo Hotel. Lasciatemi dire che sono sollevato (anche perche' le bollette di questo mese non mi avrebbero permesso di essere presente all'inaugurazione...)
Many sites are giving accounts about a Maiden involvement in the next opening of a Rockstar reserved Hotel in London, strange break because there aren't notices about it on their site, indeed today it's been issued the official denial by the founder of this exclusive Hotel. Let me say that i am comforted (because the bills of this month would not permit me to be there at the opening...)

Remember!!!Tante cose da dire in questo post ma prima mi sembrava doveroso richiamare alla mente che oggi e' la "Giorno della Memoria" e senza dire troppe parole ho scelto la bella vignetta di Giannelli apparsa sul "Corsera" oggi che mi e' piaciuta per il messaggio ribaltato: Non un semplice "non dimenticare" che e' generico ma un forte "Ricorda!!!"
Many things to say in this post but before i think it's due recall in minds that today it's the "International Holocaust Remembrance Day and without too many words i choose the nice cartoon by Emilio Giannelli (link in italian only) appeared on the "Corsera" today: i like it because the tide it's been turned . not a simple "don't forget" that it's generic but a strong "Remember!!!"
Altro discorso ma sempre di umanita' si parla e' la vicenda di Larry Swearingen che avevo "abbracciato" tempo fa. Ne parlo ora perche' la Corte Federale ha sospeso l'esecuzione (che era prevista per oggi) di Larry. Non so altre notizie per il momento ma e' gia' una bella cosa mi sembra e non solo perche' Larry e' con ogni probabilita' innocente ma perche' il boia va fermato sempre e comunque.
Other topic but alike about personhood it's the story of Larry Swearingen that i embraced time ago. I write about it now because the Federal Court has hanged the execution (planned today) of Larry. I don't other breaks but by now i think it's a very good thing and not only because in all probability larry it's innocent but because the executioner always and forever must be stopped.
Tornando a cose frivole ma piu' abituali in questo mio frivolo (ma orgoglioso di esserlo) Blog ho il piacere di comunicare che la vetusta "Biennale" di Venezia si e' dimostrata piu' coraggiosa dell' Accademy attribuendo a John Lasseter il Leone d'Oro alla Carriera 2009 , non e' il primo cartoonist a vincerlo (ricordo il grande Miyazaki) ma il fatto che stiamo parlando di una casa come la Pixar (non sicuramente di nicchia) ci fa pensare che ormai i tempi son maturi perche' finalmente a questa meravigliosa casa delle idee venga riconosciuto lo status di creatrice di cinema a tutto tondo.
Back to frivoulos subjects but more usuals in this my frivolous (but proud of it) Blog i have the pleasure to tell you that the old "Biennale" of Venice it's been more fearless than the Accademy giving to John Lasseter the Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement 2009, it's not the first cartonnist to be awarded (i remind you the great Miyazaki) but the fact that we are talking about a company like Pixar (not sure niche) takes us thinking that, by now, it's time that finally this wonderful ideas forge will be acknowledged as producer of all-accomplished cinema.
Ultima cosa: sapete che la Geografia e' il mio Karma e quindi sono costretto a consigliarvi di procurarvi il nuovo libro di Alex MacLean "Over" che gia' dalle anteprime sembra meraviglioso. (Sotto posto una foto del famoso pilota/fotografo).
Last thing: you know that geography it's my Karma and then i am forced to reccomend the new book by Alex MacLean that since from the preview it's seem wonderful. (Below a shot by the famous pilot/photographer).

In questi giorni un fastidioso raffredore mi ha tolto un po' di concentrazione e quindi non son riuscito a scrivere su ste pagine quanto avrei voluto (tre recensioni in sospeso, un paio di "classifiche") ed in particolare ieri ho trascorso l'intero pomeriggio a giocare al mitico (benche' vecchiotto, ma io sono un nostalgico...) "Age of Empires II" ed in serata mi son sparato uno dopo l'altro (trasmessi dalle TV nazionali) il film piu' stupido della storia "Charlie's Angels: Piu' che mai" (che e' veramente al limite del demenziale ma c'ha una Cameron Diaz bella in modo galattico) e uno dei piu' intelligenti: "Il Silenzio degli Innocenti" (e qui penso siamo tutti d'accordo).
Il tutto pasteggiando a base di riso basmati in bianco e acqua naturale (potrei scriverci un Captain Howdy LoFi Bistrot su...) cosi' per star leggero.
Insomma tutto il giorno a non pensar a niente e quindi oggi non ho cose particolari da dirvi se non continuare il cazzeggio proponendovi qualche foto (pure fuori tema) del mio archivio, qui sotto.
Da domani prometto tornero' piu' in forma che mai...

In last days a tiresome cold takes me off a little concentration, then i could not write in these pages how i would (three reviews hanging and couple of "charts") and in detali yesterday i spent the entire afternoon playing the awesome (although dated, but i am a nostalgic...) "Age of Empires II" and in the evening i watched one after the other (passed by the national TVs) the most foolish movie in the history "Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle" (that is truly at the limit of the propriety but there's a Cameron Diaz beautigul in a galactic way) and one of the most intelligent: "The Silence of the Lambs" (i think we are all agree).
All this savouring basmati rice and still mineral water (i could write a Captain Howdy LoFi Bistrot about...) so, to remain light.
In short all the day thinking to nothing then today i got no interesting things to tell you except continuing with the laze posting a few shots (off topic too) from my archive, here below.
Tomorrow i will come back in the most good form ever, it's a promise...

Non vi nascondo un po' di delusione: dopo "Gomorra" escluso dalle nomitation come miglior film straniero speravo che "Wall-E" fosse messo nella cinquina dei migliori film invece deve accontentarsi di altre 6 candidature (tra cui miglior film d'animazione) ma evidentemente Hollywood non e' ancora pronta per questo passo. Perplessita' anche per l'esclusione di Meryl Streep per "Mamma Mia" dalle nomination anche se e' stata nominata per "Doubt"...comunque ecco la lista completa delle nomination. Spiccano "Il Curioso Caso di Benjamin Button" con 13 nomination, poi "The Millionaire" con 10 e "Il Cavaliere Oscuro" e "Milk" con 8. Nessuna menzione per gli italiani. Heath Ledger ha ricevuto una nomination postuma come miglior attore non protagonista ("Il Cavaliere Oscuro").
I admit a little disappointment: after "Gomorra" out from the nominees for the best foreign language film i hoped for "Wall-E" in the 5 as Best Film instead it must be content about other 6 nominations (among which the Best Animated Feature Film) but evidently Hollywoos is not yet ready for this breakthrough. Many doubt also for the exclusion of Meryl Streep in "Mamma Mia" even if she's been nominated for "Doubt"...however here the nominees complete list. Stands out "The Curios Case of Benjamin Button" with 13 nominations, then "The Millionaire" with 10 and "The Dark Knight" and "Milk" with 8. No italians in the nominees. Heath Ledger is been nominated posthumous as best actor in a supporting role ("The Dark Knight").

E' ufficiale: i Maiden sbarcano nei Cinema con un Documentario (qui la Notizia): "Flight 666" che uscira' in tutto il mondo il 21 Aprile prossimo, non ci resta che attendere e intanto guardarci il "trailer".

Poche parole su "W." visto ieri sera in anteprima su "La7" (in Tv, quindi niente recensione canonica):
A) Ritratto impietoso ma sulla cui "valenza storiografica" aspetterei qualche anno.
B) E' chiaro ormai che Stone non riesce piu' a fare il regista: dopo la "pornografia dei sentimenti" proposta con "World Trade Center" qui non sono le idee a mancare ma proprio le capacita' tecniche: tra le pellicole piu' piatte viste negli ultimi anni. Mi piacerebbe sapere il perche' di questa clamorosa involuzione.
C) Il film viene salvato dagli interpreti: bravi tutti, Josh Brolin meraviglioso.
Three little things about "W." watched yesterday night on "La7" (hence in Tv then this is not an usual review):
A) Uncompassionate biopic but for the "historiography value" i would wait a while.
B) It's evident that Stone is by now inable to be a director: after the "sentimental pornography" in "World Trade Center" here it's not a matter of ideas it's just the technical abilities to lack: one of the most plain movie of the last years. I would like to know the reason of this noisy involution.
C) The movie it's "saved" by the actors: all brilliants. Josh Brolin wonderful.

Nel 1999 la deliziosa Carre' "Orchidea Selvaggia" Otis si presto' come testimonial per la Breil e a dire il vero oltre ad una foto (sotto) mi sarebbe piaciuto farvi vedere tutto quello spot ma sfortunatamente e' introvabile sulla rete, come del resto uno scatto decente di quella mitica pubblicita' (ricordate lei che spacca con una mazza da golf il parabrezza del macchinone?) e dovete accontentarvi del francobollino sotto (quella grande e' una sua foto di quei tempi piu' o meno).

La cosa curiosa e' che cercando un video mi e' tornata in mente la canzone che accompagnava lo spot: "I think i'm Paranoid" dei Garbage che guarda caso avevano nelle loro file quell'altro Sogno Erotico che di nome fa Shirley Manson e allora mi son detto: "beh, se non trovi quello della Otis perche' non postarne uno della Manson?".
Ecco fatto!

Perche' e' nei 26:
"Il Maratoneta" dopo 33 anni la sua uscita rimane uno dei migliori thriller a sfondo giallo di sempre. Tesissimo e dalla trama con risvolti storici inquietanti presenta Dustin Hoffman ai massimi livelli ed un Laurence Olivier perfettamente a suo agio nei panni del "cattivissimo" (e Dio solo sa quanto e' cattivo...) di turno. La Scena della Tortura da allora e' rimasta nell'immaginario comune come uno dei momenti piu' drammatici di sempre.

Very highly charged and with historical dramatic implications shows Dustin Hoffman at the top of his career and Laurence Olivier very credible into the shoes of the appaling villain (God only knows how he is bad...). The Torture Scene ever since is in the common imaginary like one of the most dramatic moment ever.

Allen sara' sempre Allen anche quando gioca fare qualcun'altro?
Se ormai ci siamo abituati a vederlo a fare incursioni in generi al di fuori del suo marchio di fabbrica che e' la commedia agrodolce minore pero' e' la propensione ad accettare per buona qualsiasi disgressione (piu' o meno) filosofica del caro Woody: quindi se avevamo accettato (con riserve) l'ambizioso "Match Point" e affossato il raffazzonato "Cassandra's Dream" (cosa non difficile visto che e' la stessa coppia Farrell-McGregor a far gridar vendetta...uno alla volta possiam pure sopportarli...insieme no!) nel caso di quest'ultima fatica qualche domandina vorremmo pure porla al Maestro ma ci limiteremo alla classica "ma ci sei o ci fai?".
Voglio dire che non basta fare un film in un ambientazione cool (la Spagna di questa fine decade) aggiungere molti luoghi comuni sulla crisi del concetto di coppia classica (con una disanima abbastanza neutra tanto da farci chiedere se il caro Woody non giochi a tirar il sasso e togliere la mano...), farci recitare dei sex symbol ormai acclamati come la Cruz e (non si sa ancora perche') la Johansson e soprattutto quella incredibile miniera di espressivita' che e' Bardem (che da solo varrebbe la sufficienza per il film ma non ci si puo' sempre appellare alle singole prove d'attore), spolverare con una (stavolta piccola, purtroppo) dose della consueta ironia per poter giustificare quasi 100 minuti di romanzetto rosa con risvolti piccanti...
Il punto e' che se non fosse di Allen sto film probabilmente sarebbe scivolato via senza nessun clamore ma ormai (si sa, vedi l'ultimo Coen) conta piu' il nome che non l'idea ma, come nel caso nei fratelloni, anche il nostro parere finale si allinea.
Voto: 5,5/10
Allen will be always Allen even when he plays somebody else?
If, by now, we are used to watch him making "raids" in movies that are not usual in his "trade mark" genre, the sweet and sour play, the inclination to get for good any dear Woody's (less or more) philosophical disgression it's not so automatic: then if we accepted (with concerns) the ambitious "Match Point" and "sinked" the botched "Cassandra's Dream" (not so difficult thing: the duo Farrell-McGregor it's enough to tear to shreds the movie, one of them at a time we can stand, together no!) about this last work we just would make a few questions to the Master but we restrict ourselves to the classic "are you in or are you out?".
What i want to say is that it's not enough making a movie in a cool location (the Spain of this decade ending), adding many platitudes about the crise of the classic couple concept (with a close examination so plain to making ask ourselves if dear Woody is only provocating and then hiding away...), making play, by now, famous sex symbols as Cruz and (we don't know yet the reason) Johansson and, above all, that incredible expressive mine whom is Bardem (who, alone, could give the pass mark for the movie but it's not forgivable everytime give it for the single actor's play),adding the usual (this time small, unfortunately) irony to justify almost 100 minutes of hot implications serial story...
The point is that if this movie wasn't an Allen one probably it would passed away with no particular clamours but by now (as you know, like the last Coen) it matters more the name than the idea but, like the big brothers one, also our opinion is the same.

Ieri sera mi sono imbattuto in tv nel film "La mia Super Ex-Ragazza".
Non faccio una recensione perche', come sapete, recensisco solo film che vedo al cinema ma siccome mi ha molto divertito (la scena dello squalo mi ha strippato) ve lo consiglio se volete passare una seratina di puro svago...
Yesterday evening i watched in tv the movie "My Super Ex-Girlfriend".
I don't write a review because, as you know, i review only movie that i watch at the cinema but since i enjoyed it very much (the shark scene makes me crazy) i want to recommend it for a pure amusement night...
